Please Note: The name of the purchasers card must match the registration number.
Your range will not work without an extractor motor. It maybe worth considering keeping a spare motor in stock so any unfortunate down time would be greatly reduced. This means you would not be reliant on your engineer having one in stock.
Is this something I can fit by myself?
No, this needs fitting by a qualified Gas Safe engineer
Would I need any other parts besides the motor for the engineer to fit?
It is possible you my need a new impellor blade and also a 19mm taper lock bush. Your engineer should be able to tell you if you need further parts.
Is this foot mounted or flange mounted?
This is a flange mounted motor
I am not sure if my extractor motor is a VEM how can I identify it?
The motor will have a spec plate on and this should have the brand name on it. If you can not see the spec plate you may need the qualified gas engineer to identify it for you. Failing this if you can take a picture of the motor and email it to [email protected] we will be able to identify it for you.
My motor is running slowly, does it need replacing?
It may only be the start capacitor that is failing. We have these as a stock item.
My existing motor is foot mounted, is this a VEM?
No, if your motor is a foot mounted one it will not be a VEM motor
